Yes you are right,Price and the Quality are 2 major factors that affect the market of a product.But it also depends on the type of the product we are going to buy.
In my case if it's an ornament or an accessory and I feel attracted to it ,I'll definitely buy the product regardless of the brand.But it's not the case with electronics or some other long lasting products.Brands do matter for them because I need them to sustain for a long period!
Another thing, people doesn't choose branded products only to promote themselves but also because of the quality they get in them.

I always look up to quality things first. But I will choose the product according my budget. It also depends on the type of product .When you buy a product for long term use you can spend on it, because quality of item matters for its long term usage.
