Why does marvel gives more priority to Ironman than the other characters?

Hello Folks!

As you can see in all the avengers series Iron man has got the leading role rather than any other characters. As a marvel fan have you guys noticed that the first priority is always being given to Robert Downey Junnior.

Can you guys tell me, why this is so? Why is he being given the first priority than Captain America!

He is the main insight among all other avengers. He is intelligent, rich and have the ability to hack into any Government files. He is like a commanding officer who stood by his view and is loyal to the Government also seen as People's icon. After all, who has the guts to break it down to the public that he is the Iron Man. Exactly! Even Thanos respects Tony's intelligence! That is something. He has been through the dark path and realized the error the hard way. And as you said, he is a genius, handsome multi-millionaire whom everyone loves.
