How to write the answer for a "compare and contrast" questions

    Hi all,
Most of the time in question papers we have to face this kind of questions. What is the best way of writing answers for these questions? Some people just write a paragraph for one elemenet which we have to compare and write another paragraph for the other element. Is that way of answering is good to obtain the full marks for the questions? Instead of writing a paragraph we can divide in to two columns and write the answer? Is that method is Ok?
So guys, what is the best way of answering this kind of a question to obtain a full mark? What are the pros and cons of these methods?

Yes it's a mark-able question most of the time we faced these type of question, also most of the students miss to answer properly. Compare and contrast questions means you want to check both that similarities as well as differences when you start to answer first you can talk the similarities then go for differences.
Most of the type the column form and points form answers are better than paragraph.
Another thing is always look the marks for that question then you can come up with the limitation of how much you write.

Thank you very much for you valuable reply Medusa.🙂 But there is a one problem for me to clarify. Is it ok if we write both the similarities and dissimilarities in that divided two columns or. First write the Similarities as bullet points then divide in to two columns and write the dissimilarities what is the best method you prefer???🙁
