I don't call myself a social butterfly, but I have a tendency to become close with someone very easily. Within an hour of having met for the first time, the person with whom I'm talking to and I become friends on the 1st name basis. And almost 90% of my friends are fairly 2 or 3 years older than me, but since I'm much comfortable with those than my peers, I love hanging out with them.
But I've had this doubt, whether it's a good thing to be cheeky and friendly with those who are older than me. Even if they are my friends, it occurred to me out of blue-an epiphany if you'd name it-that sometimes not everyone would take it so casually.
Besides, when it comes to professionalism, I don't call any of my colleagues using relationships either unless the situation demands the use of it.
Am I right or wrong in this? Should I be more respecting towards my older buddies? What's your POV?
