Thread: Why do some people act differently in person than while chatting ?

Hey guys,


I've seen many people, including some of my close friends who really seems to be funny and smart while texting online, but when it comes to meet them in reality they are much different!
They say that they feel shy, and feels difficult to express themselves properly.


Is shy the only reason for such a behavior? Which could be their true personality?

I think people have a sense of 'bravado' that they can portray if they are not eye-to-eye with someone. But, put them in a social situation, and they become sniveling people who don't know how to function in the real world.

Not only shy ,While texting other person can't judge emotion of the person so they are comfortable while chatting, when it come to in person talk they are hestitate because other person can catch their emotions through their eyes,action and way of talking.

We can't ever judged a person with his/her texts. We can create an own image us as we need in texts . It gives them time to get what they want to talk .

True Karikaalan, While texting a person get enough space and time to decide what he/she actually want to say. while talking in person they don't get enough time to think and decide.

Totally agree with you, Anonymity give the power to the people to talk whatever they want to talk. And they use it to satisfy their sadistic side.
