Sinhala is a language mostly used by all the sri lankas to communicate with each other. Most of the tamil people we don't know to speak in Sinhala.

You can use Sinhala websites like Learn Sinhala.com and Learn Sinhala at mylanguages.org site to learn Sinhala or use Google translate and Sinhala online dictionaries to learn Sinhala.
