I think our country is evolving in every field, I think in five years we would live a more luxurious life than now. But it has its own cons as well. These developments increase our life expenses, reduce nature resources and increase the gap between rich and poor which is not welcoming change.

I agree with evolving in every field but the reduction in currency value or the raise in cost of living shows the economic imbalance that this country suffers. I guess the gap between rich and poor is narrowing now-a-days. Do you have a contradicting view?

The gap is still there. It hasn't reduced. As rich people get richer, somehow poor will stay poor. it is how it has been all these time, and if it has to change, then we need a major political changeover.

It will remain the same, hopefully the education system might be changed.

I don't see that the political changeover will have any influence on the way people thinks. People should come forward to bridge the gap between poor and rich. Staying rich or poor is in our hands only. Peace.

In my point of view, These current developments in our country increasing the gap between rich and poor. I mean these developments providing a more luxurious life to the rich people and poor people going through more suffering because of the rise in the cost of living.

The country's currency is determined by the export and import level . If the money supply is increased them srilanka will definitely fall for the victim of inflation . So the government reducing the currency is something that is needed to he done in benefit of the country.

True this, but if the cost of living is raised only the country's tax payments can be balanced.

I agree with your point regarding developments and sufferings. I wish to add that these developments have helped the poor also in some ways ex, mobile phones, internet to help communicate. But I still stand with my point that the gap has reduced comparing before as the rich can be reached or questioned now easily comparing earlier.
